Purpose of the newsletter and editor's dream

When I (Razmig Dichjekenian) joined the international family of the mathematicians in
Göttingen, the Master-plus-Program (currently M. Sc. Program) was still at the beginning and was just earning experience. I thought that the students need general guidance in their daily life in Göttingen. The educational guidance was not enough and the living conditions and the rules of the city were almost not familiar to the students. Students didn't know what are the requirements to achieve the master degree, the document to be prepared, where to submit, whom... Moreover, the lack of the advertisement to the international program was obvious. However, I should not forget the efforts done by PD Dr Hartje Kriete (coordinator), Prof. Dr. Manfred Denker, Prof. Dr. Samuel Patterson, Mrs. Carmen Barann (secretary), Ms. Hasina Akter (student service), Eduardo de Cordoba (student service) and Pierre Colson (student service). I realized too that the distance between the students themselves, and between the students and lecturers were far away. In addition I wanted to present our life and the nice image of Göttingen abroad and provide job opportunities for our students... All these ideas in my mind, I was sitting one night in my small room and thinking what can I do. I thought something should be changed, somethng that might help to solve all these problems. And suddenly the idea of the newsletter came into my mind. I was so excited about it that I couldn't sleep the whole night thinking what can I include it. Second day I proposed the idea to my "bosses" and from the first moment they liked it. I should be thankful for their support and trust gave to me. This seemed quite a tough task for me at the beginning. However, I decided to take the challenge and aimed to progress the program. Of course this was not possible to be achieved without the assistance of a faithful group. Thanks that the family of the international program had members like PD Dr Hartje Kriete (coordinator), Mrs. Carmen Barann (secretary), Ms. Hasina Akter (student service) and Mr. Shariful Islam (student service). I am really thankful for all their efforts and grateful for their continuous support. I hope that my idea helped the students and will achieve all its purposes in the near future if it still couldn't achieve some of them.
