About the excellence initiative of 2006/2007

2007, the Georg-August university of Göttingen was successful in the evaluation round with the strategy for the future "Tradition-Innovation-Autonomie" ("tradition-innovation-autonomy") for promoting top-level university research in the funding line three of the excellence initiative (period of sponsorship: 01.11.2007-31.10.2012).

Also, the "Göttingen Graduate School of Neuro- and Molecular Biosciences" is supported in the funding line one (period of sponsorship: 01.11.2007-31.10.2012). Already at 2006, the Göttinger excellence cluster "Microscopy at the Nanometer Range" was authorized in the funding line two (period of sponsorship: 01.11.2006-31.10.2011).
